Good roof climbing foot apperral?

are slip resistant shoes good on a roof or would tennie shoes or boots be better, I start tomorrow and i will be installing 10-30 foot poles with a internet radio satillite dish on roofs and I just dont want to fall off a roof with a high pitch

I had purchased a pair of the Softpaw shoes locally about a year ago. The shoes are very comfortable and wear well. I'm on my feet all day on a cement floor so I need something that's light weight and comfortable. This is the RIGHT choice! I'd recommend them to anyone.
Reply:If they don't make special shoes for this purpose, the best shoes that I've ever found for high angle hiking on rocks and other smooth surfaces are those "approach shoes" ith the "sticky rubber" soles. Check these out:

Reply:Depends on what typ or roof it is but, an aproach shoe with stealth rubber will probably work. I would recomend the Five-ten Insight for men. the rubber on these is almost as sticky as climbing shoes and they give great support. And PS dont use crampons thats a bad idea
