Socks or not?

I am going rock climbing for my b-day and I was planning on getting shoes because I love to climb but didn't know that there was a gym about 20 minutes from my house but I am wondering if you prefer to wear socks with your rock climbing shoes or not...

Socks or not?
Most rock climbing shoes I've tried were pretty tight, but I would still wear a pair of socks, especially if you rent the shoes.

Reply:i wear socks with any shoes that are closed on top and in the back it keeps your feet from getting blisters and being stinky and sweaty
